Features and Options:
SIMCO®  7000 All Hydraulic - Tophead drive rotary drill rig, truck mounted for water well geothermal and auger drilling with 10-rod carousel.

1. STANDARD BASE RIG
   1. Hydrostatic Tophead Rotary Drive - Fixed displacement, hydraulic motor drives through a planetary gear box to provide an infinitely variable speed range of 0-300 RPM and a maximum torque of 2860 ft.lbs. (34,320 in.lbs.). Drillhead has a 3-1/4" ID hollow spindle, hydraulically off-holed for direct access to borehole and for ease of tool handling. Allows for use of 20' drill rods.
   2. Mast - Gross rating - 30,000 lbs. Overall length of 34 ft. provides a net drillhead travel of 24 feet. Cylinder Feed provides pull-up rating of 29,450 and pull-down rating of 15,000 lbs. Casing lengths up to 25 ft. may be handled.
   3. Hydrostatic Hoisting Winch - 12,000 lbs. single-line capacity, 94 FPM bare drum line speed. Can be double-lined with traveling block. Power in-power out variable speed provides precise, controlled tool handling. Includes 180 ft. of 1/2" cable and safety hook. Crown on mast includes sheaves for main and auxiliary winches, and hook point for cathead sheave or for double-lining of main winch.
   4. Operator Controls - All rig functions are hydraulically powered with all controls and gauges conveniently located at the rear of the drill. Allows operator to observe and maintain precise control over the drilling.
   5. Feed Rate and Bit Pressure Controls - Includes hydraulic flow control valving for varying the speed rate of drillhead travel up and down. Maintain desired bit pressures up to maximum rating of 13,450 lbs. Dual controls for feed system allows desired feed rate and bit pressure for drilling to remain set while providing for fast raising and lowering of the drillhead when reaming or adding tool joints.
   6. Hydraulic Retractable Table and Flat Wrench - A fully retractable rod handling table is built into the truck bed. Includes hinged, split rod centering guides (specify rod size) for up to 4-1/2" OD drill pipe. The separate hydraulic flat wrench works with the retractable table to facilitate tool handling. Both a separate casing holder and a rod/stabilizer centering guide are provided as options. See items 23 and 24 for details.
   7. Hydraulically Operated Breakout Wrench - Mast mounted breakout wrench eliminates manual breakout of tool joints. The 36" wrench pivots for use in either direction. Use with drill rods or tools up to 5-1/2" outside diameter.
   8. Mating Sub - A pin down sub connects from the drillhead to the drill rod (specify drill rod size up to 4-1/2" OD tool joints). The use of an 18"-24" saver-sub is recommended.
   9. Drill Platform - Flat bed truck body formed from 1/8" diamond deck plate. Body is secured to truck chassis and includes two 36” stroke hydraulic leveling jacks at rear of bed, and two leveling jacks mounted on the front of truck. Includes rod box with rod slide on bed for 20 ft. drill rods, tool boxes, working lights, and driller's platforms. Includes plumbing and mounting of mud pump on or under truck bed.
   10. PTO Drive from Truck Engine - Splitter gear box provides full horsepower transmission to either rear axle or pump drive. Includes drive line modifications to the truck, PTO shift control in the cab, throttle control at rear control panel, gauges for temperature, oil pressure, and alternator, tachometer, hour meter, and kill switches. Price may vary depending on truck configuration.

   MUD PUMP OPTIONS

2. 4 X 3 Centrifugal - Hydrostatically powered with variable flow rates, pump delivery ranges from 100 GPM @ 180 PSI to 500 GPM @ 120 PSI. Includes mechanical seal in pump, suction and discharge hoses, foot valve and strainer, plumbing tree, and jet-type mud gun. Recommended topfeed water swivel is a King 3BL or similar model.
3. 5x6 Gardner Denver Duplex Piston Pump - Hydrostatically driven with controls located at operator's station. Infinitely variable pump speeds are available for precisely varying volumes and pressure. Pump is slush fitted with capacities of 175 GPM at up to 325 PSI. Includes suction and discharge hoses, surge chamber, plumbing tree, and high pressure relief valve to prevent over pressuring. Recommended topfeed water swivel is King 5EL or similar model.

   DEVELOPMENT AIR COMPRESSOR OPTIONS

4. Rotary Screw - Hydrostatically driven model compressor delivers 300 CFM/200 PSI. Includes receiver tank, cooler, valves, gauges, and air supply/outlet hoses.

6. Casing Holder - An easily attached casing holder is provided to hold 4", 5", or 6" nominal diameter casing. For larger diameter casing, table can be retracted to provide clearance.
7. A0410C Bean Pump - Operated by rig hydraulic system, model A0410C water injection of 0 - 8 GPM up to 700 PSI. Includes pump speed controls, gauges, hydraulic and water pressure relief valves, suction and discharge hoses, and strainer.
8. Oil Injection System - Provides 0-2 quarts per hour as needed for lubrication of the down-the-hole hammer. Reservoir capacity of 8 gallons of lubricating oil.
9. Mud Pan - Stainless steel, attaches to rear of truck, has approximately 300+ gal capacity and includes removable screens and drain plugs. Does not include stand pipe.
10. Hydraulic Operated Grouter - Built into deck on drivers side on trucks that provide sufficient space.
11. Rotary Drill Rods - The following are specifications for flush joint rotary drill rods typically used on SIMCO drill rigs. This rod has tapered tool joint threads and breakout flats (also used to hold the rods from dropping into the borehole). These rods are available in three sizes OD and in 15' or 20' lengths.
    1. 3-1/2" OD rods with 2-3/8" API-IF tool joints, 1-3/4" watercourse, .254 wall, breakout flats on box end - approximate weight 10 lbs./ft.

    The use of this drill rod will satisfy most rotary drilling applications and facilitate tool handling when used with SIMCO drill rigs.
